Dr Mumbo is not suggesting that this ad, spotted on the walls of Singapore’s MRT subway system, is particularly bad. Even if it does suggest that a bottle of water is “simply more than just water!”

It’s just that if Yeo’s wanted to get its ‘naturally refreshing’ message across for its new alkaline artesian water, the agency might have chosen a slightly more natural backdrop than one that makes Singapore’s island theme park Sentosa seem like an untouched wilderness.

And though Dr Mumbo is no fashion expert, he is genuinely curious as to why Yeo’s brand ambassador Soh Rui Yong has been asked to wear the ugliest running shoes ever made to match the spray-on ocean behind him.
