Singaporeans’ long distance love affair showcases powers of connectivity for Singtel

A long distance love affair is the centrepiece of a new campaign by Singtel to showcase the telco’s powers of connectivity.

The three-minute film, titled ‘Goodbye, Hello’, begins with a girl parting ways with her friend at the airport.

The film concludes with the words, “For every moment in-between goodbye and hello, there’s Singtel Fibre.”

The campaign began with a teaser to introduce the two characters, Emily and John.

Spin-off content from the main film includes a song sung by John, ‘The girl from Katong’, which was performed by local band Serenaide.

Supplementary material also include a video of Emily playing with the cat featured in the film.

The video, created by Ogilvy, emerges soon after a film the telco launched to prove the strength of its network connectivity. Singtel asked in the film, can a mobile network replace your eyes?

Ogilvy won the Singtel business in 2013, taking on the account from BBDO.
