HK consultancy offers on-demand services for clients who want ‘expats without the big costs’

The Three MarketeersA marketing consultancy in Hong Kong has launched a new offering targeting clients who want more flexibility from their agencies, and do not have the budget to hire staff full-time.

The Three Marketeers‘ ‘on-demand’ offering enables clients to buy tailored services using as little as five hours a week of their consultants’ time.

The service emerges as advertisers in Greater China and elsewhere in the region are having to do more with less, as the economy slows down but advertisers are faced with an increasing array of channel options.

The Three Marketeers’ services include brand management, creative, comms planning, digital marketing, analytics and events management, with a team with more than 300 years of claimed experience working for brands including L’Oréal, Mars and Danone.

Clients “can have expats without the big costs,” said Chris McMillan, a former Mars, Jim Beam and Danone marketer and the consultancy’s founder and CEO.

In response to Mumbrella’s question about the difference between The Three Marketeer’s model and simply hiring freelancers, McMillan said that the on-demand approach does not necessarily mean a short-term solution.

“The big difference is that we’re a growing community, not offering a short-term solution. We bring a team together, but without the client having to commit to that team full-time,” he said.

“Ultimately, we’re set up as single-source solution provider for the long-term to move and change with clients’ changing needs. We can bring in people with the right knowledge at the right time – only when clients need them,” he said.
