The announcement:

As content marketing begins to mature in Asia, King Content is planning ahead for the anticipated demand from clients in the region.

Joining the Singapore team from King Content Sydney is Senior Content Strategist and Editor Daniel Hochuli, while the content marketing leader has also hired Nadia Abdullah as Social and Native Account Manager and Strategist in Singapore and Dorothy So as Senior Content Editor in Hong Kong.

Peter Bakker, Commercial Director, King Content Asia, pointed to the growing recognition of the importance of content marketing in the region, with the last 18 months being an especially busy period. “Forward-thinking marketing teams in India, China and Singapore are interested to see how content marketing can grow their customer base and help their business,” he said.

“The biggest content marketing challenge in Asia-Pacific (APAC) lies in understanding the diverse cultural audiences in the region,” Bakker added. “From India to China, Indonesia and Polynesia, each requires its own content strategy. A one-size-fits-all approach will usually fall flat. In this context, King Content’s ability to build bespoke brand stories that resonate with each demographic is why we are the most successful content agency in the region.”

As marketing budgets and the interest in content marketing in the APAC region continue to increase, Asian brands could well become major content marketing players on the world stage.

King Content is gearing up to address the demands of these cutting-edge brands by hiring people who bring in unique expertise to strengthen the team.

Daniel Hochuli is a Google Analytics qualified professional and outspoken advocate of content marketing with over 8 years of experience in the industry spanning creative and strategy across Australian and Asian markets. Previously a senior strategist with King Content Sydney, Hochuli has also helped pioneer content marketing and SEO efforts for GroupM’s Sydney’s suite of agencies.

Nadia Abdullah is an experienced media professional who has worked with a long list of global advertising clients both at CNN and BBC. Prior to King Content, Nadia was a content strategist and digital producer at BBC Worldwide, where she held an integral role within the BBC StoryWorks team, working with teams and clients across the APAC region.

Dorothy So was previously the entertainment editor at Bauer Media, where she handled all content related to films, music and television. She has also written for Time Out Hong Kong, South China Morning Post, Condé Nast Traveler and The Guardian.

“This is an exciting time for us at King Content,” said Bakker. “Daniel’s expertise will strengthen our team and allow us to pass on the benefits of analytics to our customers as well. Add to this mix Nadia and Dorothy’s experience in the media arena, and we are well on our way to building a strong and prolific team in Asia.”

Hochuli said: “I am excited to be working with the award-winning team at King Content Singapore. They have been the bastion of our business in Asia and one of the first true content marketing agencies in Singapore. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of our business as well as leading the charge in content marketing advocacy across the APAC region.”

Abdullah said: “It’s a great time for content marketing and I’m excited to be working with the region’s leading content marketing agency, King Content. I’m looking forward to contributing to the agency’s continued growth and working with an exciting list of clients.”

So said: “I am excited to join the King Content team as the company looks to expand its global reach. I look forward to working with our clients to create innovative and informative content for audiences in Asia and beyond.”

King Content serves many top clients such as Changi Airport Group, DBS, F5, Intuit, HP, Singtel, the Economic Development Board, Prudential, Pear Media, Panasonic and JLL, among many others.
