Dentsu Aegis acquires B2B agency Gyro

GyroDentsu Aegis Network has acquired Gyro, a full service B2B agency with a regional presence in Singapore.

The acquisition will see Dentsu Aegis’ existing B2B unit Interprise merged into Gyro, although not in Asia Pacific, where BandInterprise, the agency born of DAN’s acquisition of Singapore B2B business Band in 2014, will remain a standalone unit.

Dentsu Aegis did not comment on who would be running Gyro in APAC. Gyro’s Singapore president is Rayne Chow.

In a press release, DAN claimed that Gyro has a regional presence in Australia and Hong Kong too, although later clarified that they were referring to where Gyro has clients.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Christoph Becker, the global CEO and COO of Gyro, said together, Dentsu Aegis and gyro, would “reinvent the way we see, consume and feel advertising in the business-to-people space.”

Gyro’s services include media planning and buying, creative, search, data, programmatic, events, content, and business traveler-focused outdoor.

Nick Waters, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network APAC, said: “The acquisition of gyro strengthens our offering, bringing in a new creative skill set in this area of advertising that’s growing significantly. It’s great that gyro will join our network and we’ll be able to offer our clients market leading expertise in B2B across the region.”
