Dentsu Aegis buys again, aligning Taiwan’s WIS Performance Media with Iprospect

Dentsu Aegis Network has announced the latest in a series of acquisitions the company has made this year, buying Taiwanese search and performance agency WIS Performance Media and aligning it with Iprosect.

The new agency is to be called iProspect WIS.

WIS founder Simon Wu is to take on a client development and business strategy role at the agency, and he will report to Iprospect MD Carrie Tsai.

The acquisition comes three months after Iprospect led the acquisition of Consider Digital in Malaysia.

DAN’s regional boss Nick Waters said that the acquisition of WIS “creates a clear market leader in search and performance media in Taiwan.”

Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia CEO Dick van Motman talked to Mumbrella in an interview about the secrets to making acquisitions work last month. Dentsu is third in R3’s recent ranking of the industry’s biggest acquisitors globally.
