Ed Cheong named ECD of Iris Singapore as agency aims to stretch creative ambitions

Iris has named Ed Cheong as executive creative director of the Singapore office as the agency promotes a number of its key creatives.

The promotion of Cheong, who joined the agency two years ago from DDB, comes on the back of well-recognised work for the likes of Lego, which won well at the Mumbrella Asia Awards, Samsung and Philips.

Adam Yeo and Sylvester Poh have also been elevated to creative group heads, and Pearlyn Ong to senior creative, reporting to regional creative head Grant Hunter.

Hunter commented: “These well-deserved promotions are in recognition of the impact that Ed, Adam, Sylvester and Pearlyn have had on the agency. Their names have been attached to some of our best works and we believe that in their new roles, they will further elevate our creative performance for clients.”

“We’ve had a strong last 18 months and we are now building on that trajectory by devising a wealth of exciting opportunities for the team to push our creative output to even greater heights. The second half of the year will see us produce some of our strongest work yet and it will be more diverse. We’ve produced lots of heart warming, emotive storytelling recently, which we’re very proud of, but we want to show how deep and wide our creative ambitions truly run,” he added.
