Dr Mumbo

An idea that actually makes a difference

In a way, Grey Singapore’s fake I Sea app has done some good for the marketing industry – and that is to shine a spotlight on worthy work that is actually real.

You can usually count on Wieden + Kennedy Shanghai planner Rob Campbell to reveal a good example, as he did earlier today with this Facebook post.

Dear GREY FOR GOOD, to help you avoid all those nasty people making nasty comments about your scam ads, I thought I’d show you an idea that actually makes a difference, actually happened, has actual commercial – as well as emotional – value and wasn’t done purely to enter an increasingly less relevant award. Hope it helps:

Asda UK idea

It’s an idea to help shoppers with autism by keeping the volume down at Asda, a British supermarket chain.

Perhaps not as high tech as an app that claims to save stranded refugees, but probably a touch more effective.
