JetStar campaign rewards Southeast Asians with best faked holiday selfies

Not actually in Melbourne. #TravelFakie

JetStar has launched a campaign that will reward Southeast Asians with the best ‘travel fakie’ photographs with free flights.

The airline has asked people living in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to send in pictures of faked holiday selfies, a trend believed to have started in Indonesia, and experience their favoured holiday destination for real if they win.

Entrants are allowed to use props, pose with friends or use photoshop to create the funniest or most ridiculous #TravelFakie.

“Jetstar’s successful marketing campaign ‘Because You Can’ has made the selfie central to the Jetstar travel experience,” said Chantal van Wijnbergen, Jetstar’s regional marketing manager, Southeast Asia.

“This latest selfie craze is fun, creative and imaginative. We are excited to turn some of the #TravelFakies into a real travel experience for our customers,”
