KapanLagi hires Mindshare head of trading Widijastoro Nugroho as chief commercial officer
KapanLagi, one of Indonesia’s largest online entertainment networks, has hired its first chief commercial officer, bringing in Widijastoro Nugroho from the country’s most powerful media agency Mindshare.
Nugroho, known by the nickname ‘Widi’, calls time on two years at Mindshare where he was head of trading and joins the fast-growing media company that was majority-acquired by Singapore’s Mediacorp in February last year.
Nugroho brings with him experience at AirAsia, where he was commercial director of the Indonesian operation for seven years, and satellite TV provider BigTV, where he spent a two-year spell.
He joins a company in expansion mode a few months after another Mindshare executive, Rubin Suardi, joined the company as head of strategic planning from Nestle.
KapanLagi operates a network of websites covering topics including celebrity gossip, movies, food and gaming, and moved into the multi-channel network space earlier this year with the launch of Famous.ID.
