Rokkan Singapore inks deal with Zouk nightclub

Publicis Groupe-owned media and creative agency Rokkan, which launched in Asia Pacific in March with the opening of an office in Singapore, has picked up the account of Singapore nightclub Zouk.

The announcement:

Rokkan Singapore, which opened earlier this year as part of the global expansion of full-service agency Rokkan (www.rokkan.com), announced today that it has been appointed Agency Of Record (AOR) for Zouk (www.zoukclub.com), Singapore’s premier entertainment institution and the top 6th club in the world (ranked by DJ Mag Top 100 Club Poll 2016).

As AOR, Rokkan has been tasked with building a brand new website for Zouk in line with its huge move from its current location at Jiak Kim Street to a spanking new club at Clarke Quay.

Launched in March 1991, Zouk has grown into a club like none other in Asia. With the central aim of propelling Asia’s dance music culture forward, Zouk has led Singapore to the forefront of global clubbing by continuously pushing boundaries.

Rokkan’s first task with Zouk is to launch a new website that showcases the brand’s innovative and progressive clubbing environment, fostering its vibrant community digitally. The website redesign will align with Zouk’s relocation to a new space in Block C in Clarke Quay later this year.

When asked about the new partnership, Anthea Tang, General Manager, Rokkan Singapore, responded, “If you asked anyone in Singapore, they would tell you that Zouk is a rite of passage for all locals growing up here, and a must-visit for any out-of-towner. It is an iconic part of Singaporean culture, and we are excited to lead the translation of that essence to Zouk’s digital presence.”

Rokkan, part of Publicis Groupe, announced the opening of its Singapore office in March of this year, as well as a handful of global partnerships including Mikimoto, One&Only Resorts, and Veuve Clicquot. The Zouk account will be led by the Rokkan Singapore office.

“I am delighted that Anthea has hit the ground running in Singapore, and to do so with such an iconic local brand like Zouk is incredibly impressive,” said Lou Dela Pena, Publicis Communications Singapore CEO. “Rokkan combines human-driven storytelling and emerging technology to further strengthen our integrated offer in Singapore, which our clients are increasingly asking for.”
