Street artist inspired by boyhood dream in ad for Nippon Paint’s Pylox brand in Malaysia

Nippon Paint has recruited local Malaysian street artist Kenji Chai for a short web film for spray paint brand Pylox about creative inspiration.

In a charming 60-second film, the artist is inspired by a young boy’s drawing of a hornbill he left at a bus stop to produce a mural of the majestic bird on a wall opposite.

The ad finishes with the line, “If you can dream it, you can Pylox it.”

The film was well received on Nippon Paint Malaysia’s Facebook page, with the brand informing fans that the mural is located at Jalan PJU 1A/42, Taman Putra Damai, Putra Jaya.

The agency behind the work with IPG Mediabrands content agency Ensemble.
