The Trade Desk hires PubMatic’s Duncan Chamberlain for business development drive

Duncan ChamberlainThe Trade Desk has hired Duncan Chamberlain from PubMatic to lead the demand-side platform’s business development function in Asia Pacific.

Chamberlain will be based in Singapore.

The hire will be The Trade Desk’s first since the company announced just over a week ago that it was to seek an IPO worth US$$86m.

The Trade Desk’s SVP Asia Matt Harty said Chamberlain’s appointment would enable the business to deepen its network of advertising agency partners in the region.

“Duncan brings a wealth of experience to The Trade Desk in Asia and we believe he will be instrumental in expanding our footprint across Southeast Asia,” Harty said.

Chamberlain worked in senior advertiser solutions positions for PubMatic in Europe and Asia, including two years in London. He moved to Asia in 2014 and was appointed regional senior director of ad solutions, a role that oversaw relationships with ad networks, DSP’s, and advertising agencies.
