Entropia hires H&M Malaysia head of marketing Jane Chong

Jane ChongH&M head of marketing Jane Chong is the latest addition to KL-based “consulgency” Entropia.

Chong joins the new company’s marketing commerce team as principal of that offering, and follows other senior hires including IPG Mediabrands’ Malaysia MD Ramakrishnan C.N. and head of social Derek Tan, who have teamed up with co-founder Prashant Kumar.

“As a marketer, I have seen some clear big gaps in what exists in the marketing services industry today. While everyone talks about it, a coherent vision, conviction, and the method, is often missing. I am excited about what Entropia is bringing to the market, and how it could shape our industry,” said Chong.

Prashant Kumar commented: “H&M is one of those brands for our times that has struck a wonderful balance between inspiration and relentless value. We are excited to have Jane onboard.”

Since launching Entropia has won a large chunk of Etikia, whose brands include Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Wonda Coffee, Calpis, and Nippon Paints from Mindshare. The agency will not be contesting the most talked about media pitch of the moment, Telekom Malaysia.
