IDA hints at Facebook’s claim to not being a media company in ad for Singapore’s IT sector

The Singapore government’s tech body the Infocomm Development Board is running an ad to encourage Singaporeans to enter the IT sector.

“How is it possible to be the most popular media company without creating any content?” the narrator begins in the ad, with a reference to a recent claim by the boss of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg that his company is not a media company.

The ad also references Apple’s iPod and the likes of Amazon and Alibaba before linking to the website imtalent.sg, which was offline at the time of publishing. “People in tech make the impossible possible,” the ad concludes.
