Matt Scotton to move from Sydney to Singapore as IPG Mediabrands APAC strategy director

Matt ScottonIPG Mediabrands have made yet another change to its management line up in Asia Pacific, appointing Australian Matt Scotton as regional chief strategy officer.

Scotton replaces Natalie Pidgeon who has moved into a part-time role with the media agency.

Scotton moves from Sydney to Singapore to take on the new position, effective 17 October, and will report to newly appointed regional boss Leigh Terry.

He was previously national strategy director for UM strategy director, and is the latest in a string of new regional appointments.

The agency’s newly appointed COO Reg Davidson said: “We are delighted to have Matt join our regional team. He has successfully built integrated client solutions in Australia and we see him as a key addition to our regional team. He is from the new breed of integrated strategists.”

Scotton’s appointment comes soon after Scott McBride joined as APAC chief digital officer from Ogilvy and Kasper Aakerlund came on board as Hong Kong CEO to replace Lilian Leong.
