MullenLowe Vietnam hires Ogilvy’s Adrian McNamara as ECD as Carlos Camancho departs
MullenLowe Vietnam has hired a new executive creative director, bringing in Adrian McNamara from OgilvyOne.

‘Ideas addict’ Adrian McNamara
McNamara replaces Carlos Camancho, who brings to an end two and a half years in the role and eight with the network.
The Brit joins after more than two years with OgilvyOne in Ho Chi Minh City, where he worked on brands including ACB Bank, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Kimberly Clark, Nestlé and Unilever.
Prior to Ogilvy, McNamara worked at Jack Watts Currie, Naked Communications and DDB in Sydney.
Michel Borelli, MD of MullenLowe Vietnam stated in a press release: “Adrian’s arrival coincides with a new phase of development for our agency. As clients are increasingly looking for agencies to deliver integrated work, we have been reinventing our agency model, aggressively extending our digital capabilities, updating our offering with branded content, design, as well as other practices like experiential.
“We needed creative excellence on all fronts, and Adrian’s remarkably broad skill set make him the ideal person to get us there. We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Adrian to the MullenLowe family,” he said.
In McNamara’s LinkedIn profile, he describes himself as a “self-confessed ideas addict”.
“Adrian can often be found slumped naked at the end of his bed, busily scribbling down whatever it was that was keeping him awake. His love for ideas is fanatical, his passion for communications troubling,” he wrote.
Good hire, good luck Adrian. Don’t show clients everything you scribble down whilst naked in bed. Might be a short stint otherwise.
