Standard Chartered activation gives Liverpool fans in Asia virtual tour of Anfield stadium
Standard Chartered Bank has activated its sponsorship of English Premier League club Liverpool in Asia with a virtual tour of its stadium, Anfield.
Former players Robbie Fowler and John Barnes host the 360 degree video tour of the stadium, which fans will be able to experience in shopping malls and Standard Chartered branches around Asia.
The activation, which includes photo opportunities and prize giveaways, has gone live in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan and Indonesia.
“VR is at its most powerful when it solves a real world problem – rather than being used for gimmicks sake. Providing the millions of Red’s fans across the globe with this amazing virtual access to the club they love, is about as potent an application of this form of storytelling that we have seen in recent times,” said Octagon APAC MD Ben Hartman.
