Grab launches regional campaign around debut sponsorship of The Amazing Race Asia
Grab has launched a TV ad to run region-wide around its sponsorship of The Amazing Race Asia.
The ad, which was created inhouse and produced by Mojo Films, features a man being driven by a woman in a number of Asian locations where Grab operates – Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia.
“Same quality of service in six different countries,” finishes the ad, which will run on Grab’s Facebook and Instagram pages where the company is running a series of competitions in a similar vein to the TV show.
Grab’s sponsorship of the reality game show will give the brand visibility in 14 million homes and 20 million viewers in Southeast Asia, where the programme will air on AXN Asia.
As part of a plan to integrate the brand with The Amazing Race Asia, the car-hailing app will give contestants a ride at certain points in the show, which is now in its first season.
The commercial launches about a fortnight after Grab withdrew an ad that attacked the safety of traditional Ojek drivers in Indonesia with images of a girl who had been involved in an accident.
