Hall of Fame Awards 2016 shortlist revealed
DDB, Iris and TBWA are in contention for Creative Agency of the Year, while Havas Media, Mindshare and Starcom are finalists for Media Agency of the Year at Singapore’s Hall of Fame Awards 2016.
Digital Arts Network and independent firm Goodstuph are vying for Specialist Agency of the Year.
Rebel Agency of the Year sees Goodstuph go head to head with GOVT, which turned heads recently by winning the OCBC business.
DDB’s Asia and Singapore boss David Tang, the head of DDB’s digital sister agency Jeff Cheong and TBWA\Singapore boss Ara Hampartsoumian are up for Agency Head of the Year.
In the campaign awards, Content Marketing Idea of the Year and Transmedia Campaign of the Year look like the most competitive categories.
Among the content finalists is Goodstuph’s ‘A Hero’s Welcome’ for Changi Airport around Joseph Schooling’s gold medal win at the Olympics, DDB’s ‘Majulah Moms’ for StarHub and BBH’s ‘Start Retiring’ idea for Income, BBDO’s ‘Anmum and dad’ campaign.
In contention for the transmedia category are ‘Start Retiring’ idea for Income and another idea for Income by BBH, Virtual Hook-ups, two campaigns for Singtel by Ogilvy, ‘We are One Force 2016’ for the Singapore Airforce by DDB and Guinness “Beer Gao” by BBDO.
This year, the awards received 170 entries, 26% more than last year.

Replyi thought the changi airport piece for joseph schooling was an obvious one and very poorly executed….to think this is being considered for content marketing idea of the year speaks volumes for how low singapore has slid.
Content marketing…its just a quick turnaround topical piece….I mean the flight no is SG2016 (fair enough) but the flight is arriving from….. joseph schooling….bizarre execution.
