Ogilvy promotes Ee Rong Chong to run ad and PR agencies and drive integration in Singapore

Ee Rong ChongOgilvy has appointed 16-year company veteran Ee Rong Chong to run operations for both its advertising and PR agency brands in Singapore.

Chong will work with O&M Singapore Group’s chairman Chris Riley, who is just over a year into that role, to accelerate Ogilvy’s “Next Chapter” strategy to integrate the agency’s disciplines and boost newer capabilities in data, automation and digital.

Riley said that the appointment was part of a move towards “clarifying, simplifying and unifying the best of Ogilvy” to help clients get what they need quicker.

Ogilvy PR APAC boss Scott Kronick described Chong’s role as “pivotal”, and said that the appointment demonstrated Ogilvy’s belief that PR “continues to play a central role in building our clients’ brands and businesses.”

Chong originally joined Ogilvy PR in Malaysia in 2000, and has worked across the network for clients in markets including Singapore, China, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
