FCB Greater China goes for ‘Brazilian flare’ with hire of new executive creative director
Ad agency FCB has named Brazilian Frederico Sartorelo as executive creative director of its Shanghai operation with responsibility for its international clients.
He joins from creative agency CatBlack, where he was ECD and partner, based in Sao Paulo.
Sartorelo also had with spells at Cheil Worldwide, McCann and Grey Group, with Samsung, L’Oreal, RedBull, Johnson&Johnson, Procter&Gamble, Calvin Klein, Coca-Cola among previous clients.
Sartorelo described the relocation from South America to Asia as a “great opportunity”.
“Working at FCB Greater China is a dream come true. I always loved Asia, in particular China. Everything here has unbelievable proportions,” he said.
FCB Greater China chief executive Edward Bell said: “I am really thrilled that Fred has joined our creative team. He brings that wonderful Brazilian flare for emotional story telling and great design aesthetic that, together with our ever stronger local talents will, I believe, lead to some really interesting creative opportunities.”
