Dentsu Aegis Network bags Coca-Cola’s media planning and buying account across China

cokechinaDentsu Aegis Network has won the media planning and buying account for Coca-Cola across China.

The win, effective from 1 April, will see the group deliver a full spectrum of services and capabilities to Coca-Cola, with a dedicated in-house team – the Dentsu Coca-Cola Community (DCCC) – created to support the business.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work with The Coca-Cola Company [TCCC] in China and to create a unique team solution that will enable TCCC to access all of our capabilities,” said Phil Teeman, group managing director of Dentsu Aegis Network China.

Michelle Yang, media director at The Coca-Cola Company Greater China, said: “Dentsu Aegis Network has proven media integration capabilities and digital savvy leadership to help drive paid media planning and buying covering TV, out-of-home, digital and paid social media. We look forward to working with them to create some great work together.”

The incumbent on the account was Starcom, which had last retained the account in 2011.
