FCB boutique agency Ignite wins Perodua account

Kuala Lumpur-based boutique agency Ignite has won a creative account with the country’s car manufacturer Perodua – to promote the brand during Malaysian public holidays.

The FCB-owned agency competed against M&C Saatchi, Havas and the incumbent Spin Communications to win the account. It includes advertising and social media during festive periods such as Chinese New Year and Eid.

The remit also includes the Hindu celebration Diwali and the Malaysian harvest festivals Hari Gawai and Hari Kaamatan. The brief ties into Perodua’s long-term brand campaign, #MuhibahDiJalanraya, which uses the idea of harmony within Malaysia’s diverse racial population as a means to encourage greater respect between road users.

Ignite associate creative director Syed Ferohaizal said: “We’re ecstatic to have been appointed and truly grateful to be allowed the chance to put out a worthy, timely message for all Malaysians no matter what the occasion is.”
