IPG Mediabrands merges Ingenuity in Malaysia with mobile and tech agency Ansible

IPG Mediabrands has combined its technology and e-commerce operation Ingenuity with mobile specialist Ansible to create what it described as a full service marketing and technology agency in Malaysia.

The newly-named Ingenuity to Ansible will offer strategy, media planning and buying, marketing and analytics as well as user experience and creative, technology, development and enterprise solutions.

Ingenuity was formed in 2015 in Malaysia but will no longer exist as a standalone brand.

Ansible in Malaysia will be led by Manu Gopinathan, the former deputy MD of Ingenuity.

“With Ansible, we are excited to offer innovative mobile and technology solutions such as AI Bots, Beacons and IoT solutions to clients in Malaysia which will strengthen our offering,.” he said. “Mobile is the first screen for a majority of Malaysians, and building solutions centred on this device would be paramount for brands moving forward.”

IPG Mediabrands chief executive Bala Pomaleh claimed the creation of the expanded agency is timely “given the explosion of mobile opportunities and technological advancement”.

“IPG Mediabrands Malaysia is now poised to offer best-in- class end-to- end solutions encompassing media, mobile, technology, programmatic, performance, analytics, social, content and creative,” he said,

“These synergies in our service offering will strengthen our position to help marketers successfully navigate the current challenging environment.”

Ansible has 22 offices across 14 countries.
