DigitasLBi wins Novartis heart failure drug for Singapore

Marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi has won the account to launch a heart failure drug for Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis in Singapore. The win followed a three-way pitch, although it has not been revealed who the other two agencies were.  

The Publicis Sapient-housed agency will develop a campaign focused on raising awareness of heart failure across the region featuring a famous Singaporean comedian who name has yet to be revealed. The campaign will be shown primarily on digital channels and social media.

In Singapore alone, cardiovascular disease caused nearly 20,000 deaths in 2015 – according to the Ministry of Health. DigitasLBi APAC chief executive Annette Male said: “Heart failure is such an important subject and it affects so many families that we are humbled by the opportunity to work with Novartis and support such an important cause.”

Novartis APAC account lead for digital and social media Kim Lee Tan added: “Heart Failure is a real global concern. By educating patients, their friends, loved ones and their caregivers the condition can be detected early on and treated.”
