MHP Communications opens office in Singapore

British public relations firm MHP Communications is to open an office in Singapore as part of a bid to expand its reach in Asia.

The new office will be led by general manager Kelly Johnston, who joins from Baldwin Boyle Shand Singapore, where she was a senior consultant. She will report to MHP Asia Pacific chief executive Emma Smith.

Kelly has previously worked in-house with Emirates Airlines and Lion Beer, Spirits & Wine in Australia. Kelly started in public relations at Bell Pottinger in London. She began her career as a journalist in her home country New Zealand.

Owned by Engine Group, MPH already has offices in Sydney and Hong Kong across Asia Pacific.

Smith said: “Building on the success of our Hong Kong and Sydney offices, we can now strengthen our South East Asia footprint. [Johnston] brings significant integrated communications experience across corporate, consumer and financial sectors, and strong knowledge of the South East Asian markets.”
