Mumbrella Asia appoints Kris Chan as head of sales

As Mumbrella Asia continues with its expansion plans in Singapore, experienced commercial operator Kris Chan has been appointed as head of sales.

Singaporean Chan – who is fluent in Mandarin and English – has previously worked for HRM Asia, Spafax, Publicitas and Emphasis Media.

She will help to drive the commercial success of Mumbrella360 Asia – the three-day media and marketing conference at the Marina Bay Sands on November 7-9 – and the Mumbrella Asia Awards. As well as heading up sales for conference and awards sponsorships, exhibitor space and bespoke commercial products, Chan will be working on website and newsletter ad sales.

It is the latest in a line of recent appointments by Mumbrella Asia – including editor Eleanor Dickinson, publisher Dean Carroll and event manager Carly Pollifrone – as the media house continues to grow rapidly from its base at The Working Capitol in Keong Saik Road.

“Kris has an impressive track record and she understands the need to protect the integrity of our brand,” said Mumbrella Asia publisher Dean Carroll. “She is a great addition to this growing team. All of us are looking forward to delivering a top-notch event with Mumbrella360 Asia in November.”

Speaking on her first day in the job, Chan said: “This move to Mumbrella Asia allows me to continue with my passion to help companies connect with their customers. And I’m thrilled to be part of the most exciting and unique event of the year with Mumbrella360 Asia.

“Due to the ever-changing media landscape in the region, it is with utmost importance to keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the industry – and 360 will certainly help people in the industry to do that.”
