IPG Mediabrands appoints Hiroki Ito as head of Cadreon Japan

IPG Mediabrands Japan has appointed Hiroki Ito as the head of its adtech unit Cadreon.

Ito joins from AdRoll Tokyo, where he was director of agency sales. In his new position, he will report to Anthony Plant, chief executive officer of IPG Mediabrands Japan, and Yean Cheong, the head of Cadreon for Asia Pacific.

Ito has 17 years of experience in digital marketing, with expertise gained at both Japanese and global companies such as Netyear, Oracle, Wunderman, and more recently four years at Google.

The announcement:

Cheong said: “Hiroki’s well-rounded engineering and marketing experience is a valuable asset to Cadreon Japan.

“Under his leadership, I am confident that we will strengthen our Japanese operations, leapfrog the development of product and solutions relevant for Japan, and continue to grow our team of programmatic and data specialists.” 

Ito added: “Leveraging our global and local capability, I would like to contribute to make truly meaningful usage of ad tech and programmatic for clients in Japan, to reach their customer and grow their business.”
