JWT adds ‘some Brazilian flair’ to Bangkok with new CCO

J. Walter Thompson Bangkok has hired João Braga as chief creative officer, following the departure of Satit Jantawiwat earlier this year.

Braga joins the Bangkok office from Ogilvy Singapore, where he was creative director on Pond’s and other regional accounts.

Prior to that role, the Brazilian spent over three years in Portugal as creative director, and later executive creative director at Publicis, Lisbon.

He reports to Bangkok’s managing director Jalayanateja Parattajariya and the appointment is effective from today.

“João is an incredibly talented creative who is driven by curiosity about people, culture and trends,” said Parattajariya.

Braga added: “Take a country with an incredibly strong, authentic creative culture and a great global network, add some Brazilian flair to the mix, and you can expect a very energising experience and some world class work”

Braga’s predecessor Jantawiwat moved to Cheil Thailand to take on the CCO role in February.
