Talented event supremo wanted for Mumbrella’s Singapore office

With momentum growing behind Mumbrella’s expansion in Asia, we are looking for an ambitious and talented event supremo for our Singapore office.

You will work closely with the publisher, editor, head of sales and head of marketing across a diverse portfolio of events. Among them the recently announced three-day media and marketing conference Mumbrella360 Asia and the Mumbrella Asia Awards, as well as client events under the Mumbrella Bespoke brand.

You will be experienced in managing both large and small-scale conferences without ever missing a deadline. In addition, you will be comfortable dealing with suppliers to achieve both quality and value for the company.

The diverse range of responsibilities will include everything from establishing and implementing a critical timeline for events and managing budgets to driving delegate ticket sales and liaising with sponsors/speakers. On top of that, you will source venues and strike competitive deals while working alongside our designers to ensure the marketing collateral is on brand. Other areas of responsibility will include sourcing and working in partnership with audiovisual teams, overseeing ticket-booking systems, arranging the logistics for awards judging and facilitating other key elements such as events catering and exhibition hall planning.

Comfortable talking to C-suite executives, you will also be a brand ambassador for Mumbrella Asia. That means protecting the integrity and reputation of the company as well as achieving challenging commercial goals.

Candidates with a bulging contacts book, in terms of suppliers in Singapore, and a familiarity with the media and marketing industry landscape are preferred. However, strong performers from other events sectors will be considered – as will those with less experience but a hunger to overperform.

In addition, the ideal candidate will also have some insight into commercial strategy in order to continue the evolution of the Mumbrella Asia brand. This will be essential as our ambitious company prepares to launch the media and marketing conference Mumbrella360 in Asia this November, on the back of the event’s impressive growth in Sydney (it now attracts more than 2,000 delegates), which saw it named Australia’s best conference twice.
