Tapad PR director Isman Tanuri quits after just five months

The marketing and public relations director of Tapad Asia Pacific has left the company after less than six months in the job.

Isman Tanuri, the former head of marketing for MediaMath, joined the cross-device adtech company in Singapore last November.

However, he announced his intention to leave the company in March to start his own travel website.

Andrew Tu, who recently joined Tapad as vice president for APAC, confirmed Tanuri’s departure, saying: “Our understanding is that Isman is launching and helming a new venture and we wish him all the best.

“We are currently looking at candidates to fill his role but we have not made any decisions yet on a replacement.”

When contacted by Mumbrella Asia, Tanuri said: “I am looking to set up a travel platform for travellers all around the world.” He was unable to comment further.

Founded in the United States in 2010, Tapad specialises in developing software and services for advertising across multiple devices, plus content delivery.

The venture-funded start-up expanded into APAC with the opening of the Singapore office in July 2016. Pierre Martensson was appointed general manager for the new base.

Tu and Tanuri were later brought on board, alongside Henry Schenker, the senior director, global platform solutions.

At the time of announcing their arrival, the company said it plans to expand into Japan and Australia in the coming months.
