Malaysia Airlines celebrates a ‘life without borders’ in Hari Raya ad

Malaysia Airlines and M&C Saatchi have released an online video showing Hari Raya celebrations across Asia in the lead-up to the international Muslim festival this weekend.

The three-minute ad entitled ‘Raya Around The World’ portrays Hari Raya as a unifying force across different countries.

Muslims are shown gearing up for the end of Ramadan across Malaysia, India, China and Japan, as a voiceover says: “A life without borders is a life more meaningful.”

At the end of the video, the voiceover speaker is revealed to be a Captain Zakir Ibrahim, a real-life pilot from Malaysia Airlines, who is then shown celebrating Hari Raya with his own son.

The video has been viewed nearly 100,000 times since its release on YouTube on June 20.

The ‘Raya Around The World’ film follows M&C Saatchi’s ‘Truly Malaysian Greeting’ campaign for the airline’s Chinese New Year celebration.
