Mediabrands Malaysia branches into cloud consultancy as Sujith Rao replaces Munish Bhamoriya

IPG Mediabrands Malaysia’s consultancy arm Inventure has promoted its senior analytics director Sujith Rao to vice-president.

Rao has replaced Munish Bhamoriya, who previously led the division under the title of senior partner. He has now left IPG Mediabrands after four years. The company was unable to disclose his next venture.

The promotion coincided with the launch of Inventure’s bid to boost its consulting service with marketing cloud capabilities.

The new service will encompass go-to-market sales strategy for B2B clients, pricing analysis, and website analytics and optimisation. Inventure will work with clients on predictive and artificial intelligence technology, plus ad tech providers to help “optimise consumer touch points”.

Rao, who first joined Mediabrands in 2013, will report to Bala Pomaleh, IPG Mediabrands Mayasia’s chief executive officer.

He said: “Many clients have invested in marketing cloud services, but have yet to maximise its capabilities. We have expertise working across various ad tech solutions, and can help clients extract the maximum value of their own data to improve their business performance.”

Pomaleh said: “Investing in future spaces is a key growth strategy for us. Marrying what Inventure used to offer in research, together with what we can now offer in marketing cloud consulting, will help clients close the marketing insights loop. Sujith’s expertise makes him the perfect candidate to spearhead our new Inventure.”

He added: “We would like to thank Munish for his contribution within Inventure and his pivotal role in growing our consultancy business.”
