Nielsen Singapore appoints new MD as Joan Koh gets promoted

Global measurement company Nielsen has appointed a new managing director for Singapore following the promotion of its former MD Joan Koh.

Johan Vrancken replaces Koh as head of the company’s country office, as Koh takes on a new role as talent, engagement and development lead for Asia.

Vrancken was previously the MD for Nielsen’s innovation practice, growth and emerging markets, whereby he managed 80 countries from Singapore. In his new role, he reports to Patrick Dodd, president of Nielsen Growth Markets Group.

Before Nielsen’s acquisition of  marketing technology agency Affinnova in 2014, Vrancken was senior vice president of the company in Asia Pacific.

He has also worked for start-up agencies in Singapore, such as eYeka and has worked as a brand marketer within the Danone Group and AB-Inbev in Europe.

Nielsen was unable to specify further details of Koh’s appointment at the time of publication.
