BPN wins media account for Malaysian FMCG giant GBA Corporation

BPN, a media agency under IPG Mediabrands, has been named agency-of-record by Malaysia’s GBA Corporation.

The account will include input from Mediabrands’ mobile technology arm Ansible and will be focused on the sales and marketing of the company’s FMCG products.

The announcement:

Commenting on the partnership, Mohan Alagappar, COO of GBA Corp said, “BPN has demonstrated foresight in how our brands should move forward in an integrated approach beyond media planning, and we are very excited to have them on board as our new partners.”

GBA Corporation’s core activities are centered on the sales and marketing of FMCG products with warehousing and logistic support, and the group was looking for an agency partner to provide a holistic offering for the brands it works with. With over 25 years in the market in Malaysia, GBA Corporation has built numerous brands into market leaders, working with brands like Ferrero Roche, Wrigley’s, San Remo Pasta, Tabasco and Fisherman’s Friend.

On winning the account, Managing Director of BPN, Darren Yuen said, “We are truly proud to have secured this win in such an integrated fashion. The ambition of GBA Corp is aligned with how we see brands growing for the future”. The appointment commences August 2017.

This recent appointment is amongst a series of new business wins by BPN following the appointment of Southern Lion in April 2017.
