Hill+Knowlton wins global account with Dalian Wanda Group

Chinese property and cinema giant Dalian Wanda Group has appointed Hill+Knowlton Strategies its global communications agency of record following a “highly” competitive pitch.

The Chinese conglomerate, which has a portfolio covering entertainment, sports, real estate and hospitality, is looking to embark on a rapid international expansion. H+K will manage its global public relations and communications strategy, covering overall brand building as well as in-market projects.

The company remains world’s largest cinema chain operator, with AMC Theatres in the United States, Odeon and UCI in Europe, Hoyts Cinemas in Australia and Wanda Cinema Line in its portfolio.

The account will be handled out of H+K’s 200-person team in China. The account leads will be Peggy Lee and H+K China president and CEO QC Liang.
