Sentosa on the hunt for new PR agency

Sentosa Development Corporation has launched a pitch for a public relations agency in Singapore.

Five local agencies have been shortlisted for the one-year contract worth up to S$250,000. These include Affluence PR, Baldwin Boyle Shand, Redhill, The Hoffman Agency and the incumbent Asia PR Werkz, which won the account last year.

According to documents filed on Gebiz, the winning agency will have the chance to negotiate a second year of the contract after 12 months.

The remit will include the creation of a brand story, plus campaigns and events promoting the Singaporean island and its facilities.

The pitching agencies are due to present their campaigns to Sentosa Development Corporation later this month before a decision is made.

The Sentosa Development Corporation is a statutory body under the Ministry of Trade and Industry and consists of the following subsidiaries: Sentosa Golf Club, Sentosa Cove and Sentosa Cove Resort Management under its umbrella.

One of Sentosa’s most memorable PR campaigns over recent years was the ‘The State of Fun Celebration’, which remains the island’s tagline today.

Sentosa Development Corporation declined to comment when contacted by Mumbrella Asia.
