MediaCom promotes Charlotte Goddard to head of business development

MediaCom Asia-Pacific has promoted client director Charlotte Goddard to the head of business development for the region.

Goddard joined the APAC hub in 2015 from MediaCom London and has been responsible helping the agency win a number of regional pitches, including with FAW Group China, P&G Korea, DIDI China and IKEA Japan.

The announcement:

With 10 years of industry experience, Charlotte brings a broad and deep level of integrated media experience to her new role.  Already part of the new business endeavours that have resulted in over 50 pitch wins so far in 2017 in APAC, Charlotte’s new remit is to continue driving the highest level of business development efforts throughout the region, leading the APAC arm of global pitches, and overseeing all regional and game-changing local pitches.

MediaCom APAC has had an exceptional new business record so far this year, with some of their biggest wins including FAW Group China, P&G Korea, DIDI China, IKEA Japan, and the global Richemont win.  To raise the bar even further, Charlotte is also charged with rolling out business development training initiatives, spearheading pitch collaborations with sister WPP companies, and leveraging new tools and technology to optimise the region’s new business infrastructure.

MediaCom APAC CEO Mark Heap said: “Since joining the regional team from MediaCom London, Charlotte has proven to be a very effective leader, with an intelligent, progressive approach that impresses not only her peers but the numerous clients she works with.  She’s never hesitated to roll up her sleeves and get involved in many of our biggest pitches, from developing brilliant content through to coaching pitch teams.

“This promotion is another example of MediaCom’s ‘People first’ philosophy in action – an industry-leading talent development and mobility programme.  For Charlotte, it’s the latest step in a very promising career, which has seen her move through different roles and across countries, allowing the company to benefit from her breadth of experience.”

Goddard’s new role is effective immediately and she will report into Mark Heap.
