Novus strategy director Joseph Jones leaves to trade broker Exness

Just three months following its acquisition by Dentsu Aegis Network, Novus Singapore’s content strategy director has left the company.

Joseph Jones originally joined the content marketing agency, now-known as John Brown Novus, seven years ago, having previously acted as editor for the website Expat Living.

He will now join Exness — one of the world’s largest forex trading brokers – as its head content marketing. He will report to Chul Lim, the company’s global head of digital marketing.

Jones said: “I’ve had a fantastic seven years at Novus, now John Brown Novus. I joined as one of the earliest employees and am immensely proud in the role I played helping the company to grow and develop into Asia’s leading content agency.

“I am thrilled to be joining Chul and the team at Exness. The passion, innovation and vision displayed by everyone here is self-evident and played a big role in my decision to join. As the world’s leading international forex broker, Exness has both a fantastic technology platform and market opportunity. As a team, we’ll work to deliver great content and customer experiences to traders in the currency market.”

Having acquired the 100 per cent stake in Novus Group, which has offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, DAN made a number of leadership changes.

Simon Cholmeley, the chief executive at Novus Singapore, is to become CEO of the new entity, while Marie Lyte, chief operations officer and chief financial officer, will take on the role of COO at John Brown Novus.

Lucy Dryburgh, John Brown Media’s existing managing director for Asia Pacific, will join the leadership team, alongside Cholmeley and Lyte.

Last year, the company parted ways with its director of content marketing Andrea Edwards, who left the agency after just 18 months to focus on her consultancy business.

Edwards was not replaced and her role was split between existing members of staff.
