Vizeum loses Marina Bay Sands media account to OMD
Dentsu Aegis Network has lost its accounts with Singapore hotel company Marina Bay Sands following a competitive pitch.
The holding company’s media and digital agencies Vizeum and iProspect have been shunted in favour of Omnicom Media Group-owned OMD and London-based agency Forward3D.
The decision follows a five-month pitch for the account valued roughly between S$10 million and S$15 million.
A hotel spokeswoman said: “Marina Bay Sands confirms that it has hired media agencies OMD and Forward3D to support the integrated resort’s overall marketing strategy for a period of 24 months, with effect from 1 October 2017. OMD will support the integrated resort’s brand and tactical marketing, while Forward3D will support in performance marketing, in all key markets.
“The two agencies were chosen after a rigorous 5-month selection process, and will replace current agencies Vizeum and iProspect, whom we would like to thank for their partnership in helping drive positive results from our key markets.”
Before Vizeum took over the account, the business was previously handled by sister-agency Dentsu, which originally won the account in September 2011 and then again in a review held in 2014.
Before Dentsu, the account was handled by Starcom MediaVest Group, and prior to that, Mindshare held the business.
