Brand New Media wins creative account with Rugby Singapore

Content marketing house Brand New Media has won the creative and marketing account for Rugby Singapore following a pitch.

The agency will be tasked with marketing the Singapore leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, which will take place in April next year.

The agency, which is partly owned by Singapore Press Holdings, will carry out a six-month regional campaign aimed at building “a uniquely Singaporean persona” for the event.

Rugby Singapore’s chairman David Lim said: “Brand New Media was appointed through a demanding selection process, and we have brought on board an agency partner that matches our vision and ambitions for the April 2018 event. Sevens rugby, the format played at the Olympic Games, is exhilarating to watch and one of the fastest growing sports globally.”

BNM Asia chief executive Damien Bray added: “We are honoured to be selected to work on this project. It takes us back to our sports marketing roots and we are extremely excited to deliver on the challenge of driving spectator participation and building the brand equity for this major international event in Singapore.”
