J. Walter Thompson appoints Marianne Admardatine as Indonesia CEO

J. Walter Thompson Asia Pacific has appointed Marianne Admardatine as chief executive officer in Indonesia a year after the retirement of DD ‘Lulut’ Asmoro.

Admardatine, who was previously chief growth officer for Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia, will begin leading both JWT and digital agency Mirum from January.

Her responsibilities will include brand building, digital transformation, customer experience, marketing automation and commerce activation, as well as integrated campaigns, JWT said.

JWT South East Asia Jacco Schegget said: “We are thrilled to bring Marianne on board. She is a true powerhouse, thought leader, and a prominent figure on Indonesia’s corporate and brand communications scene. Her trademark passion and energy will help the JWT group further unlock growth for clients – Indonesian companies or ambitious multinationals – helping their brands grow by creating ideas that travel and systems that scale.”

Johan Shabudin

Following Asmoro’s departure last year, the Indonesian agency has been led by managing director Johan Shabudin, who has worked on and off for WPP since 1995.
