Nick Fawbert launches B2B agency Cadenza Communications

Singapore-based digital veteran Nick Fawbert has launched a new B2B consultancy company.

Fawbert, who has previously held senior roles at Mediacorp and Brand New Media, signed a joint venture deal with investor James Ient to found Cadenza Communications, which specialises in staff education, e-learning and business transformation.

The new agency will be an extension of Fawbert’s current consultancy business Mutiny, and will focus on short-form educational videos for companies’ workforces. He will now take on the role of CEO for the new offering.

Cadenza’s first venture will be to launch a video series entitled ‘Market Makers’, which will feature video interviews with senior business leaders.

Ient, who is the chief financial officer for investment firm Tradition, also recently invested in content marketing agency Click2View following the departure of founder and former CEO Neal Moore.

Fawbert: “We’ve been approached by many clients who want to develop an original educational portal, especially apps and other mobile friendly platforms.

”Delivering well trained and engaged talent should not just be the reserve of corporate multinationals. We don’t think clients should be spending $1m on reinventing the wheel, we think they should invest that in the component that really makes the difference – the content.”

Fawbert left Brand New Media this time last year after two and a half years to launch his own digital transformation consultancy.

He had joined BNM in February 2014 as Asia MD following a six-month stint as head of digital enterprise at Singapore state media owner Mediacorp.
