Skechers unveils holographic OOH campaign with K-Pop rapper Zico

Footwear brand Skechers Singapore has unveiled a new giant out-of-home campaign at Dhoby Ghaut Station featuring a holographic display.

In a first for local OOH player Moove Media, the billboard features two three-dimensional shoes lit up with LED lights.

The campaign is aimed at promoting the brand’s latest product, Skechers DLT-A, which is donned by  South Korean hip-hop rapper Zico on the billboard and an accompanying television commercial.

In two addition to the two 10-metre-high wallscapes at Dhoby Ghaut, the brand also has murals on display at Clarke Quay, Sengkang, Serangoon and HarbourFront stations until November 14.

“We are excited to introduce holographic displays as the latest advertising solution for our clients. Creating 3D holographic displays for retail products is like displaying the actual products. Consumers can immediately see how they look even though the actual products are not on display,” said Jayne Kwek, CEO of Moove Media.

Eileen Tan, senior marketing manager at Skechers Singapore, added: “The holographic display of our DLT-A shoes dancing complements our TVC which showcases new Korean hip-hop rapper Zico dancing down the street in them. It also brings life to the otherwise static 2D wall mural.”
