Isobar rejigs China leadership with Alvin Huang taking over from Jane Lin-Baden as CEO

Isobar China Group has appointed a new chief executive officer to take over the company’s leadership from the Asia-Pacific CEO Jane Lin-Baden.

Alvin Huang has been promoted from managing director to CEO, one year after Lin-Baden took over the regional role from global boss Jean Lin.

Lin-Baden has led Isobar China since 2013 and retained leadership when she was promoted. After taking over her role from Janaury 1, Huang will be tasked with “enhancing the collaboration between Isobar Group’s six agencies in China” and “fostering more integration within the Dentsu Aegis Network teams”, the agency said

Huang will report to Phil Teeman, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network China, in addition to Lin-Baden.

Meanwhile, Chris Chen, currently CEO and executive creative director of Trio Isobar, had been appointed to the newly created role as chief creative officer for the group.

Chen has more than 26 years’ experience in the advertising industry, 18 of which are in digital marketing. He founded Trio Digital in 1999 before being acquired by Isobar in 2013.

Lin-Baden said: “In the past five years, Isobar China Group’s revenue grew nearly six times through organic business innovation and acquisition, and solving real business problems for our clients. The growth of our next phase will come from strong integration and in celebrating creativity and consulting.”

Isobar is one of the few agencies that is led globally and regionally by Asian women.
