Esplanade moves media account from UM to Havas following pitch

Esplanade Theatres on the Bay has named Havas Media Singapore as its new media agency-of-record following a competitive pitch.

The Singaporean theatre previously worked with Universal McCann, which did not take part in the recent pitch.

Havas Media will handle Esplanade’s media planning and buying – with a focus on developing the brand’s digital strategy –, the agency said in a statement.

The win follows the agency’s successful retention of its media account with NETs after the  payment company decided to drop M&C Saatchi as its creative agency.

Esplanade chief marketing officer Eunice Yap said: “Havas Media team demonstrated an impressive understanding of our business and marketing objectives. The agency’s capability in data and content and their experience in working on iconic local brands will be a great asset for us as we strengthen our digital strategy.”
