Intan Mokhnar, who left BBDO after 15 years last September, has been appointed to “spearhead JKR Singapore’s collaborations and growth in the Asian region”, the agency said in a statement.

Mokhnar steps into the role previously held by Emily Kousah, who has now moved into the position of JKR Asia’s regional director.

She first joined BBDO in Kuala Lumpur as a senior account director in 2002, working her way up the ladder to lead BBDO and Proximity in Singapore as general manager.

Guy Lambert, global CEO, JKR said: “Intan is a natural leader. She is someone who will not only maintain the business’ high standards of creative work and client management, but can take JKR Singapore to a new level as a brand partner. We are delighted she is joining us.”

Mokhnar added: “This is such an exciting time to be joining JKR as it moves ahead with its new ambition and thinking. I’m incredibly inspired by the amazing talent in the organisation and I genuinely feel it is the right fit for my own personal change.”

JKR has operated in Singapore since 2013 under the leadership of Kousah, who had worked for the agency in London since 2000.

In her new role, Kousah will further generate partnerships with both local and regionally-based global brands across Asia Pacific, the agency added.
