Iris ropes back Kevin Larken as ECD of Bangkok office
Iris Worldwide has lured back a former Jakarta executive to lead its creative department in Bangkok.
Canadian-born Kevin Larken previously spent three years at iris’ Indonesian operation, serving as creative director and ECD until February last year.
However, after leaving to launch Comish, an e-commerce site specialising in art, Larken has now returned to the fold by taking the ECD position at iris’ Thai base, which launched in May last year.
He will report to Graham van der Westhuizen, managing director of iris Bangkok and will handle clients such as Chang Beer, Shell, Philips and NHealth.
Working alongside Van der Westhuizen and planning lead Atiwat Manassarikan, Larken will also be tasked with growing the local creative team.
“The ambition for Iris Bangkok is to continue building value for the most progressive brands and businesses in Thailand. Kevin’s appointment is our commitment to ensuring our creative product is central to that,” said Van der Westhuizen.
Why’s Canadian-born important? Not quite helpful as creative creds go, no? UK-born…? Yeah?
