When a Facebook Live video is a Blair Witch spoof

Dr Mumbo is aware that Facebook Live is a largely untested vehicle in the marketing arena.

Therefore, he had to applaud premium Japanese car brand Lexus for its bravery in embracing the live streaming platform for its new car launches at the Singapore Motorshow.

However, after certain users were quick to point out the video’s somewhat shake style of filmmaking,  Dr Mumbo wonders whether the Lexus marketing team will reconsider this decision next year.

In particular, Pat Law, founder of the independent agency Goodstuph, even suggested a number of award categories for the Lexus team to submit the footage to:

As such, Dr Mumbo remains hopeful he will see Lexus at Cannes this year after all.
